Supernatural ghost stories, fake blood, gore and jump scares are welcome all year round and, thankfully, there are a bunch of chilling horror movies planned to come our way within the next few years. Whether it&#8217;s the return of popular franchises like\u00a0<em>A Quiet Place<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em>Alien\u00a0<\/em>or original scares from new filmmakers, there are a ton of upcoming horror movies to get ready for.<\/p>\n<p>We have a solid line up of horror titles confirmed to be available to enter our eyeballs from 2024 onwards, with more to come that have yet to land a specific release date on the calendar, as well. While we wait to see if any of these titles find a spot on our list of the\u00a0<u>best horror movies of all time<\/u>, check the upcoming scary movies out, here:<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"history-of-evil-february-23-2024-3\">History Of Evil &#8211; February 23, 2024<\/h2>\n<aside class=\"hawk-nest hawk-processed\" data-render-type=\"fte\" data-skip=\"dealsy\" data-widget-type=\"seasonal\" data-widget-id=\"c24a6c90-a8b6-4f3a-9e8e-dc30f0833d90\" data-result=\"missing\">\n<div class=\"hawk-master-widget-hawk-wrapper\"><\/div>\n<\/aside>\n<p><em>The Vampire Diaries<\/em>\u2019\u00a0Paul Wesley\u00a0is returning to the horror genre for\u00a0<em>History of Evil<\/em>, which will be avaliable to stream with a\u00a0<u>Shudder subscription<\/u>\u00a0later this month. Per\u00a0<u>People<\/u>, the movie takes place in an imagined future where America has become a theocratic police state after \u201cwar and corruption plagued\u201d the nation. It follows Wesley as Ron, a husband and father who is on the run for the militia and takes shelter in a remote safe house. But the house\u2019s \u201cdark past\u201d soon begins to eat at the family.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"imaginary-march-8-2024-3\">Imaginary &#8211; March 8, 2024<\/h2>\n<p>Lionsgate and\u00a0Blumhouse\u00a0have teamed up to bring a movie called\u00a0<em>Imaginary<\/em>\u00a0to audiences in early 2024.\u00a0<em>Truth or Dare<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Fantasy Island<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em>The Curse of Bridge Hollow<\/em>\u00a0director Jeff Wadlow is helming the movie about a woman who returns to her childhood home to discover her imaginary friend was real all along, still there, left behind and quite unhappy about being abandoned by her. Oddly enough, a more family friendly exploration of imaginary friends is coming in May with\u00a0<u>John Krasinski\u2019s\u00a0<\/u><u><em>IF<\/em><\/u>.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"immaculate-march-20-2024-xa0-3\">Immaculate &#8211; March 20, 2024<\/h2>\n<p><em>Euphoria<\/em>\u00a0star\u00a0Sydney Sweeney\u00a0is set to lead a horror movie called\u00a0<em>Immaculate<\/em>, which will have her once again collaborating with Michael Mohan after starring in his 2021 movie,\u00a0<em>The Voyeurs.<\/em>\u00a0<em>Immaculate<\/em>\u00a0will be about a devoutly religious woman fulfilling a new role in an Italian convent when she finds out her home has some \u201cdark and horrifying secrets,\u201d per\u00a0<u>Deadline<\/u>. You can check out the\u00a0<u><em>Immaculate<\/em><\/u><u>\u00a0trailer<\/u>\u00a0ahead of checking it out.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"late-night-with-the-devil-march-22-2024-3\">Late Night With The Devil &#8211; March 22, 2024<\/h2>\n<p><em>Late Night With The Devil<\/em>\u00a0joins\u00a0<u>found-footage thriller<\/u><u>s<\/u>\u00a0with a unique premise set on the set of a fictional 1970s variety and late-night talk show called\u00a0<em>Night Owls with Jack Delroy<\/em>.\u00a0David Dastmalchian\u00a0plays the late night host as a broadcast from Halloween night in 1977 showcases some creepy occurrences when Delroy interviews a parapsychologist and the subject of her new book, who is the only survivor of a Satanic church\u2019s mass suicide. The movie premiered a South by Southwest last spring to rave reviews, including from\u00a0Stephen King.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"winnie-the-pooh-blood-and-honey-2-march-26-2024-3\">Winnie-The-Pooh: Blood And Honey 2 &#8211; March 26, 2024<\/h2>\n<p>After one of the\u00a0<u>wildest concepts ever for a horror movie<\/u>\u00a0haunted 2023 with\u00a0<em>Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey<\/em>, Hollywood is going to honor us with a second helping with a sequel. After the $100,000 British slasher turned a profit with a 5.2 million box office haul another movie is well on the way and expected to come out around one year after the first installment. Per the writer\/director to\u00a0<u>THR<\/u>, in the second movie Pooh and his friends will be \u201cleaving\u00a0the 100\u00a0Acre Wood to take their fight to the quiet community of Ashdown!\u201d<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"the-first-omen-april-5-2024-xa0-3\">The First Omen &#8211; April 5, 2024<\/h2>\n<p>It\u2019s been over 30 years since a movie from\u00a0<em>The Omen<\/em>\u00a0franchise has been released in the form of the TV movie,\u00a0<em>Omen IV: The Awakening<\/em>. After that film was not received well, it\u2019s understandable why its studio took a break from the supernatural horror series, but it\u2019s coming back this spring with\u00a0<em>The First Omen<\/em>. The movie\u00a0<u>will serve as a prequel<\/u>\u00a0to the original 1976\u00a0<em>The Omen\u00a0<\/em>as an American woman is sent to work at a church in Rome and comes across a disturbing conspiracy about the birth of an Antichrist. You can watch\u00a0<u><em>The First Omen<\/em><\/u><u>\u00a0trailer<\/u>\u00a0before checking it out.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"abigail-xa0-april-19-2024-3\">Abigail \u00a0&#8211; April 19, 2024<\/h2>\n<p><em>Scream<\/em>\u00a0has been revitalized in the past few years with the help of filmmakers, Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett. After making the fifth and sixth\u00a0<em>Scream<\/em>\u00a0installments, they are helming a previously\u00a0<u>untitled Universal monster movie starring\u00a0<\/u><u><em>Scream<\/em><\/u><u>\u00a0star Melissa Barrera<\/u>\u00a0along with Kathryn Newton,\u00a0Dan Stevens, Kevin Durand and Angus Cloud. The movie is a reimagining of the 1936 Universal Classic Monsters movie\u00a0<em>Dracula\u2019s Daughter<\/em>. The spring horror release is about a group of kidnappers who are tasked with capturing and watching over the daughter of a powerful figure, Abigail. Little do they know, the girl is really a vampire child that will hunt them down one by one.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"sting-may-2-2024-3\">Sting &#8211; May 2, 2024<\/h2>\n<p>If you\u2019re afraid of spiders,\u00a0<em>Sting<\/em>\u00a0might be the exposure therapy you need! The 2024 movie coming to theaters will confront arachnophobia as it follows a 12-year-old girl \u00a0named Charlotte who raises her own spider. But, unlike the beloved classic\u00a0<em>Charlotte\u2019s Web<\/em>, in\u00a0<em>Sting\u00a0<\/em>her spider becomes a flesh-eating monster.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"cuckoo-may-3-2024-3\">Cuckoo &#8211; May 3, 2024<\/h2>\n<p>Along with Sydney Sweeney and the late Angus Cloud starring in horror movies this year,\u00a0<em>Euphoria<\/em>\u2019s\u00a0Hunter Schafer\u00a0is also joining the genre for a movie of her own. Schafer stars in\u00a0<em>Cuckoo<\/em>, which is about a teenager who is forced to move in with her family to a resort to unexpected terrors under the surface. The movie, which also stars Dan Stevens and Jessica Henwick, will premiere at this March\u2019s South by Southwest before coming to theaters a couple months later.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"tarot-may-10-2024-xa0-3\">Tarot &#8211; May 10, 2024<\/h2>\n<p>Horror fans can also look forward to Screen Gems\u2019\u00a0<em>Tarot\u00a0<\/em>this May, starring\u00a0<em>Spider-Man<\/em>\u00a0actor Jacob Batalon, Alana Boden, Adain Bradley and Avantika. Previously titled\u00a0<em>Horrorscope<\/em>, the film is about a group of college friends who get their horoscopes read and then begin dying off in ways that are connected to their readings. It\u2019s based on the 1992 novel by Nicholas Adams and serves as a feature film debut for writer\/directors Anna Halberg and Spenser Cohen, per\u00a0<u>Deadline<\/u>.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"the-strangers-chapter-1-may-17-2024-xa0-3\">The Strangers: Chapter 1 &#8211; May 17, 2024<\/h2>\n<p>Renny Harlin, the filmmaker who has been behind movies like\u00a0<em>The Long Kiss Goodnight<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Die Hard 2<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em>A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: A Dream Master<\/em>, has apparently crafted a horror trilogy for\u00a0<em>The Strangers<\/em>\u00a0after two prior films were made in the franchise. He plans to release three \u201cchapters\u201d of the story starring Madelaine Petsch and Froy Gutierrez.\u00a0<em>The Strangers<\/em>\u00a0will bring back the three murderous masked strangers when a couple\u2019s car breaks down in Oregon and they are forced to spend the night in a desolate Airbnb.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"the-watchers-june-7-2024-3\">The Watchers &#8211; June 7, 2024<\/h2>\n<p>M. Night Shyamalan\u2019s daughter, Ishana Night Shyamalan has her directorial debut lined up with\u00a0<em>The Watchers<\/em>. Per\u00a0<u>The Hollywood Reporter<\/u>, Dakota Fanning will star as an artist who gets stranded in an \u201cexpansive, untouched forest\u201d in western Ireland and unknowingly becomes trapped with three strangers that are being \u201cwatched and stalked by mysterious creatures at night.\u201d Ishana wrote the film based on a novel of the same name by A.M. Shine. Plus, her famed father is producing the film and New Line won a bidding war to back the movie.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"a-quiet-place-day-one-june-28-2024-xa0-3\">A Quiet Place: Day One &#8211; June 28, 2024<\/h2>\n<p>John Krasinski has successfully created an intriguing and scary world where humanity must stay silent in order to survive the aliens who have inhabited Earth with the\u00a0<em>Quiet Place<\/em>\u00a0movies. After\u00a0<em>A Quiet Place Part II<\/em>\u00a0became a theatrical hit, amidst pandemic challenges,\u00a0<u>the next\u00a0<\/u><u><em>Quiet Place<\/em><\/u><u>\u00a0movie is on the way in 2024<\/u>. This one\u00a0<u>will be a standalone<\/u>\u00a0<em>Quiet Place<\/em>\u00a0spinoff that is directed by\u00a0<em>Pig<\/em>\u2019s Michael Sarnoski based on an idea by Krasinski, to what we imagine will dive into the invasion\u2019s origins. The third\u00a0<em>Quiet Place<\/em>\u00a0film from the core franchise is still expected to come after this movie, as well, but currently remains in development.
